Whether an introduction to your blog or a post that you’re especially proud of, pinning it to the top of your blog will ensure that no one will miss it.

To pin a blog post:

1. Open the post you want to pin in the editor.
2. Go to the post’s settings panel on the right side.
3. Tick the box for “Stick to the top of the blog”.

In Quick Commands you’ll find your open and recently closed Tabs, Bookmarks, History, Page Actions, a list of available commands in Vivaldi, Command Chains, and more. You can scroll with your mouse or use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the available options and search results. Depending on what you’re looking for that can take time, so it’s best to just skip to the right section.

To move between sections in Quick Commands, hold down the Alt key while using the ↓ down and ↑ up arrow keys.

Vivaldi on Android offers a few ways to copy the URL of the web page you’re currently on to your phone’s clipboard. Give them a try and find the one you like best.

To copy the link of the active tab:

• Tap on the Address bar, then tap on the “Copy” button in the Address Bar drop-down menu.
• Long-press on the highlighted URL in the Address Field and select “Copy” from the menu.
• Open the Vivaldi menu > Share and tap the “Copy” button in the Share menu.
• If you’ve set “Share this page” as the toolbar shortcut, tap on it and then on the “Copy” button in the Share menu.

To copy a link you’ve found on a web page, long press on it and select “Copy link address” from the context menu.

Saving your open tabs as sessions allows you to access them all with just a few clicks at any point. To make your sessions even more useful, manage the tabs within the session to keep them neat and organized.

To edit Saved Sessions:

1. Open the Sessions Panel.
2. Right-click on the session you want to update and select “Edit / View Contents”.
3. Make the changes. For example, pin or move tabs, (un)stack them, rename, etc.

To get a general overview of your calendar at the same time as focusing in on a specific day, make use of Vivaldi Calendar‘s sidebar which displays the selected day’s events and tasks next to your current calendar view.

To toggle the sidebar in the Calendar on and off:

1. Open the Calendar in the main tab view.
2. Near the top right corner, below search and next to trashed events, click on the “Show Sidebar” button.

The day view sidebar is available in week, multiweek, month, and year views. In the agenda view, the sidebar will display your tasks.

Even if you have 20/20 vision, there’s no need to strain your eyes unnecessarily. So, go ahead and make that text on web pages bigger.

To zoom text in Vivaldi on iOS:

1. Open the Vivaldi menu and select “Zoom text…”.
2. Tap on the + and – buttons to adjust the zoom level.
3. Tap on Done, when happy with the text size.

It can be nice to look back on posts you made months and years ago, but if you prefer to live in the moment, you can automatically delete your posts when they reach a certain age. There are plenty of exceptions you can make to ensure the important content such as pinned posts and private messages remains.

To automatically delete old posts on Vivaldi Social:

1. Go to Preferences > Automated post deletion.
2. Enable “Automatically delete old posts”.
3. Select the age threshold.
4. Review exceptions.
5. Save the changes.

If you tend to send more emails from one account than others, consider making it the default sender in Vivaldi Mail. That way, you don’t need to double-check with each new email you’re writing, from which address it’ll be sent.

To set a default sender in Vivaldi Mail:

1. Go to Settings > Mail > Mail Settings > Default Sender in New Messages.
2. Select your preferred email address.

Suppose you want to hide your recent searches and typed web addresses from view, for example, because you often have people peaking at your screen or you like to keep the information in the drop-down menus to the minimum. In that case, you can disable Typed History from showing up.

To hide typed history from the Address Field and Search drop-down menus:

1. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Privacy > Show Typed History.
2. Untick the “In Address Field” and/or “In Search Field” boxes.

If you like to display content in easily manageable portions, dividing the list of topics in categories and posts in threads into pages is for you. But if you prefer to have new content appear automatically as soon as you’ve reached the end, enabling infinite scroll is the way to go. Luckily, the Vivaldi Forum caters to both styles.

To update your preference:

1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Forum and select “Settings” from the menu.
2. In the Pagination section, either enable or disable “Paginate topics and posts instead of using infinite scroll”.
3. If you’ve opted to paginate posts and topics, feel free to adjust the number of items that are shown per page.
4. Save the changes.

Just like on desktop (See Tip #101) the same way on mobile, you can have multiple pages of your favorite bookmarks, Speed Dials, on the Start Page.

To create a new Speed Dial page, aka group:

1. Swipe left on the Start Page until you see a screen like the one on the image below and tap on the “Add New Group” button.
   Alternatively, tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the Start Page and select “New Group” from the menu.
2. Give the group a name.
3. Tap “Done”.
4. Start adding/moving bookmarks to it.

To add an existing bookmark folder to the Start Page:

1. Open the Bookmarks Panel.
2. Long-press on the folder you want to add to the Start Page and select “Edit”.
3. Toggle on “Use as Group”.
4. Tap “Done”.

Some of the adjustments you can make to your Vivaldi Theme are more subtle than others. One such customization option is removing the faint background from the tabs you have open in the background.

To make background tabs transparent:

1. Go to Settings > Themes > Editor > Settings.
2. Enable “Transparent Background Tabs”.
