In Today’s snapshot we address some of the problems you raised in the last snapshot, including fixing the private window crash on Mac, selection of the custom background image and the broken proprietary media on Linux. We also made the Linux proprietary media system more robust on Ubuntu and added additional support for OpenSUSE and Slackware users.

Today we released a minor update to Vivaldi 1.1. We now provide more detailed security information in developer tools, updated our Chromium engine with security updates from upstream and fixed an issue with Vivaldi failing to install on Ubuntu 12.04.

In case you missed it, we had a successful release of Vivaldi 1.0 final a couple of days back but that does not mean we took a break and stopped development. We have already begun the work towards version 1.1!

Today’s snapshot is the first in the 1.1 series and we have added a few small features already. We now switch tabs when trying to close a pinned one, provide easier mass closing of tabs, add links to tab stacks by default and provide a new “keyboard shortcut to rule them all”.
