Snapshots

Find out what's coming up next with public test builds of the Vivaldi browser. Read about upcoming features, leave your feedback and discuss issues with the Vivaldi team.

Snapshot 1.2.485.14 – Bugfixes following a short week

Hurrah for a new Snapshot and for Norway’s National Day! Fixes to bookmarks, an upgraded Chromium and more.

Snapshot 1.2.479.8 – More keyboard shortcuts and a small update to 1.1

Adding some more default shortcuts (all customisable, of course!), fixed tab opening to better follow the selected setting and much more.

Snapshot 1.2.470.11 – Editable Gestures

Yet again we introduce quite a few of improvements, so let’s dive in without too much ado. First we’d like to discuss gestures, the ability to issue commands with help of drawn shapes. With some of you excited and some of you disappointed by lack of flexibility, we hope to address both groups by expanding the feature by recordable gestures.

Snapshot 1.1.453.45 – Vivaldi 1.1RC3

This is release candidate 3 for Vivaldi 1.1, with a quick fix to the URL field and some translation updates.

Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable update stream before it is released.

Snapshot 1.1.453.43 – Vivaldi 1.1RC2

Today’s snapshot has a fix for problems with keyboard shortcuts, introduced in the previous snapshot. This is release candidate 2 for Vivaldi 1.1. Let us know if you see any major issues.

As mentioned with RC1, even if no further major issues are found, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable update stream before it is released.

Have a great weekend!

Snapshot 1.1.453.36 – Vivaldi 1.1RC1

Today’s snapshot is the first release candidate for Vivaldi version 1.1. Even if no further major issues are found, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable update stream before it is released.

Snapshot 1.1.453.30 – More fixes as we close in on the 1.1 stable update

In today’s snapshot we fix the issue with Ctrl clicking on Speed Dials and make fast forward more reliable as we close in on version 1.1.

Snapshot 1.1.453.6 – Further tab closing options, improved dark UI and more import options

Today’s highlights are further tab closing activation options, more work on our Dark UI, more import options and a fix for Vivaldi stealing focus under Windows.

Snapshot 1.1.443.3 – New tab options

In case you missed it, we had a successful release of Vivaldi 1.0 final a couple of days back but that does not mean we took a break and stopped development. We have already begun the work towards version 1.1!

Today’s snapshot is the first in the 1.1 series and we have added a few small features already. We now switch tabs when trying to close a pinned one, provide easier mass closing of tabs, add links to tab stacks by default and provide a new “keyboard shortcut to rule them all”.

Snapshot 1.0.435.29 – Vivaldi 1.0 final RC1

Today’s snapshot is Vivaldi 1.0 Release Candidate 1. Assuming no major, new issues are discovered, we will rebuild this with a few more updates to translations and set it to update users of our beta channel, in the near future.

Snapshot 1.0.435.26 – Fixes for Bookmarks, YouTube, Private mode and stacked tabs

A new Snapshot to ring in the weekend with a handful of extra fixes. Including bug fixes for YouTube, private browsing, and handling grouped tabs (Tab Stacks). Enjoy!
