In this snapshot we start to focus on stabilization for the 1.8 final, with the priority switching to fixing regressions. We have also started to resolve some long standing translation issues.

This is a historic snapshot for us because we re-wrote the history feature. We also fixed almost 40 bugs and upgraded the Chromium backend.

Another day, another snapshot! Since yesterday’s snapshot highlighted fixes, we resolved a couple of annoying regressions and completed a major bump of Chromium to 56 (build 2924.59).

To kick off the New Year we have a new snapshot, with a new option for those of you who are extensions fans but enjoy a clean browser interface. We also fixed a few regressions and started to incorporate some of your feedback for our screenshot feature.

One last snapshot update before the holidays. It has the Linux HTML5 proprietary media fix from today’s minor 1.6 update and an attempted fix for a particularly annoying issue affecting our Japanese users.

In today’s minor update to Vivaldi 1.6, we’re releasing a fix to address an issue where certain media files would not play for users on Ubuntu 16.04 and 16.10.
