Audi to include Vivaldi browser in new models

The new Audi Q6 e-tron is launched with a one-of-a-kind infotainment system, with Vivaldi available for download to level up the in-car entertainment.

Yesterday (March 18th), Audi unveiled the new Q6 as part of their e-tron fleet of electric vehicles. We’re thrilled to be available in the Q6 e-tron and provide a powerful browsing experience for its drivers and passengers.

This is the first car from Audi with Vivaldi available for download after CARIAD launched at the Mobile World Congress 2023 an app store for Volkswagen Group, which includes our feature-rich Vivaldi browser.

Seeing more and more cars hit the road with our browser available is a testimony to the work we put into Vivaldi. Respected automotive brands like Audi, Mercedes, Polestar, and Renault utilize our technology to let their customers access the web through the car’s infotainment systems. Getting a browser in the car is highly appreciated by car owners, clearly expressed in the feedback both we at Vivaldi and automakers receive.

The Audi Digital Stage with Vivaldi

The new Audi Q6 e-tron boasts of an elaborate screen setup with the revamped Audi MMI (multi-media interface). This includes a panoramic display, and a passenger display, forming the Digital Stage. The Digital Stage is designed to minimize distractions while maximizing functionality.

Use the Vivaldi browser in the Audi Q6 e-tron as a driver or a passenger

Downloading our versatile browser to this superb interface takes the in-car infotainment system to another level.

If you’ll be parked for a long time while charging or waiting to pick your kids up after soccer practice, you can stream videos on different streaming services, send emails, or get some shopping done right from the Vivaldi browser in the comfort of your seat.

If you’re driving with a passenger, they can stay busy by streaming videos or browsing the internet while you focus on driving. How? The Q6 offers a 10.9-inch display for the front-seat passenger. This screen is driver-inaccessible, allowing only the passenger to use and watch it while the car is in motion.

Our commitment to transparency, privacy, and innovation extends to in-car browsing too. We’ve incorporated Vivaldi-essential features like Tracker & Ad blocker, encrypted sync functionality, and our other well-known powerful browser features.
