HOWEVER, This update isn’t just about better browsing, it’s about fighting for a web that works for people, not corporations. A Smarter, Faster Address Bar

The address bar is the gateway to the web, and in Vivaldi 7.2, it’s been fine-tuned for speed and precision. Search results, bookmarks, and browsing history now appear faster and more accurately, ensuring users can reach their destination with minimal effort. Customization remains at the core, allowing users to tailor suggestions and behavior to match their browsing style.

Blazing-Fast Page Load Speeds

Thanks to optimized connection handling, pages in Vivaldi 7.2 load significantly faster. Some users will experience load times that are more than twice as fast, making the browsing experience feel seamless and responsive. No gimmicks, just smart, efficient engineering.

Enhanced Keyboard Shortcuts & Customization

For power users who rely on shortcuts, Vivaldi 7.2 introduces a new keyboard shortcut priority list. This lets users fine-tune commands, ensuring that their preferred shortcuts take precedence over website-specific controls, enhancing their workflow.

Turn Emails into Calendar Events with Ease

Vivaldi’s integrated Mail and Calendar just got smarter. Users can now instantly create calendar events from emails (or from web pages). Whether it’s a meeting invitation or a ticket confirmation, a simple right-click is all it takes to get it into the calendar.

  • Workspaces in Quick Commands – Quickly find and switch between workspaces for better tab organization.
  • Reorder Mail Accounts – Arrange email accounts in Vivaldi Mail for a more personalized setup.

Vivaldi 7.2 is available for download today on Windows, macOS, and Linux. As always, Vivaldi remains committed to the fight for a better web by providing a browser that prioritizes the user.

Fighting for a better web

We’re not working at Vivaldi, we’re fighting. Fighting for a web that isn’t controlled by a handful of tech giants. Fighting against the relentless exploitation of the internet for corporate and political power.

Big Tech has turned the web into a battleground for control, turning users into data points and profits. With growing tensions and governments waking up to the dangers of over-reliance on a few dominant players, people are looking for alternatives. They’re ditching invasive platforms, seeking independent solutions, and reclaiming control over their digital lives.

For 10 years we have proven that you don’t have to settle for surveillance-driven services. We have shown that privacy, customization, and choice should be the norm, not the exception. We are committed to the fight for a better web and providing independent alternatives to whats offered by monopolistic, self-serving, behemoths.

For big tech, the tide is turning!
