Vivaldi 7.1 on Android

Vivaldi Technologies is kicking off 2025 with the release of Vivaldi 7.1, an update packed with powerful new features.

With this update, we are putting even more control at your fingertips, making it easier to stay organized and focus on what matters most. Navigate the web faster, and organize your online life better.

An Easier Way to add Your Speed Dials

Speed Dials let you access everything important to you in just one click. Adding new websites to your Speed Dial is now faster and more intuitive with the new Add Speed Dial dialog. The new Speed Dial dialog now shows sections for Popular and Frequently Visited sites, helping you quickly save what you need, making it quicker than ever to organize your favorite sites on your Start Page.

Stay Focused with Reader View

We have made Reader View much more accessible from the menu, making it easier for you to dive into the content that matters most. Reader View lets you focus entirely on the text by simplifying pages for an optimized reading experience.
Find Tabs Instantly with Tab Search
If you have ever struggled to locate a specific tab, this feature will be a game changer. The new Tab Search functionality in the Tab Switcher allows you to search for the title of the page or the URL, and immediately find the tab you need.

A Smarter Start Page

Your Start Page just got smarter. With the new Reopen Start Page options, you can choose how you want to kick off your browsing session. Select from Top Sites, Last Visited Group, or First Group (group listed as first, you can customize this as well), depending on your needs. By default, the Last Visited Group is selected, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Quickly Save Your Favorite Sites

With the new Add Page to menu item, saving your favorite pages just got a whole lot easier. You can quickly save the current page to your Start Page, Bookmarks, Reading List, or even directly to your device’s Home Screen. Whether it’s an article you want to read later or a go-to website for work, this feature gives you the flexibility to organize your browsing exactly the way you want. In just a couple of taps, you can ensure everything you need is right where you expect it.

Seamless Sharing with Send Tab to Device

Ever found the perfect article, recipe, or video on your phone but wanted to continue on your desktop? With Send Tab to Device, you can instantly share tabs between your Vivaldi-enabled devices. Whether you’re switching from couch mode to work mode or heading out the door, your tabs are just a click away. It’s seamless, fast, and keeps your browsing flow uninterrupted, because the last thing you need is to lose track of where you left off.

New Default Search Engines

To keep Vivaldi free and independent, we’ve made a small but important update: changing some of our default search engines. These adjustments are part of our efforts to support the ongoing development of the browser. Our partner search engines that generate revenue for us are: Startpage, Ecosia, DuckDuckGo and Qwant.

About Vivaldi Technologies

Vivaldi Technologies is an employee-owned company that creates products and services for discerning web users. In everything it does, it believes in putting its users first.

Vivaldi is a powerful, personal, and private browser that adapts to you, not the other way around.

With its flexible, and fully customizable interface, the browser strives to offer the best Internet experience on any device and currently covers platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi, iOS, Android, and Android Automotive.

Vivaldi has two ground rules: privacy is a default, and everything’s an option. In practice, this means building software that protects users’ privacy but also does not track how they use it. It believes private and secure software should be the rule, not the exception.

Vivaldi is headquartered in Oslo, with offices in Reykjavik, Boston, and Palo Alto.
