Tip #853

When learning a new language reading texts in the other language and trying to understand them is a big part of the process. With Vivaldi’s Command Chains you can make it easier by cloning and translating the page and tiling it with the original.

To create the Command Chain:

  1. Go to Settings > Quick Commands > Command Chains.
  2. Click on “Add Command Chain”.
  3. Give the new chain a name.
  4. Change “Command 1” to “Duplicate Tab”.
  5. Click on the little + (Add Command) button on the right side to add the next command in the sequence.
  6. Command 2 – Delay
  7. Command 3 – Tile Vertically
  8. Command 4 – Delay
  9. Command 5 – Translate Page

Once set up, use Quick Commands, Keyboard Shortcuts, Mouse Gestures or custom

Two tabs from the same web page in a tiled view. The one on the right has been translated.
