Minor update to Vivaldi 1.7 – Update to the Windows installer

Late yesterday we released a minor upgrade to Vivaldi 1.7 to fix an issue with the Windows installer.

We made a small change to the Windows installer to prevent a potential security issue during installation, the details of which will be explained in a future posting. In the process of updating the installer, the version number has been bumped from 1.7.735.46 to 1.7.735.48. There are no additional fixes or changes to the browser itself. Since this is a Windows installer issue only, you will not receive an update if you already run 1.7.735.46, nor do the download links for Linux or macOS need to be updated.
