Customizable buttons – Vivaldi Android Browser snapshot 3380.4

This snapshot introduces customizable button, addresses several regressions and bumps Chromium to 126.

Here are some of the changes that have been made:

  • Customizable Button in the Address Toolbar (VAB-9321)
We’ve introduced a new customizable button in the address toolbar (ad blocker shield button is there by default). This feature allows you to add a button for quick access to your favorite tools and functions, improving your browsing efficiency and personalization. You can long tap on the ad blocker shield button – Edit shortcut- and then choose one of the listed buttons, or you can head to Settings – Toolbar Shortcut (under Appearance) and then make the change.
  • Bookmark Folders Behavior (VAB-9201)
We’ve fixed an issue where bookmark folders wouldn’t stay on top when sorting and navigating in and out of folders. Your folders will now maintain their position, making bookmark management more intuitive.
  • Speed Dial Reordering Issue (VAB-9214)
Resolved an issue where speed dials couldn’t be reordered when manual sorting was selected.
  • Crash When Moving Notes (VAB-9355)
Fixed a crash that occurred when moving notes to the same folder.
  • Crash on Foldable Devices (VAB-8939)
Addressed a crash issue when tapping “New window” on some foldable devices.
  • Address Bar Display Issue in Full Screen Video (VAB-9245)
Fixed an issue where the address bar was displayed when turning on the video in full screen.

Take a look at the changelog for a full overview of the changes and let us know what you think.

Differences to Final

The purpose of these snapshots is to allow our users a chance to preview upcoming changes, and to help us ensure the quality of our latest fixes and improvements, before we add them to Final. If you would prefer something that was already widely tested, stick with the main Vivaldi Android package.

When testing a Snapshot, it is a good idea to review the changelog (above). Try out the changes and let us know your thoughts in the comments section or directly in the Play Store. When commenting in the Play Store, remember that it is helpful to mention the version you were testing with.
