Minor update (4) for Vivaldi Desktop Browser 7.7

This update fixes a couple of crash issues, resolves a commonly reported tab switch problem, improves Dashboard widget handling and includes security fixes from Chromium.

The following improvements were made since the third 7.7 minor update:

  • [Chromium] Update to 142.0.7444.228 ESR (Security fixes from 143.0.7499.40/41)
  • [Crash][Ad Blocker] On startup when loading filter rules (VB-122578)
  • [Crash][Linux] Invalid ioctl system call in archive handling (VB-122711)
  • [Start Page] Removing last widget on Dashboard page leaves empty page (VB-121512)
  • [Tabs] Cannot switch tabs using the cursor at the very top of the screen (VB-121882)
  • [Welcome][Start Page] Skipping onboarding adds widgets to the wrong folder (VB-122118)

Enable Automatic Crash Logging

Vivaldi can automatically send crash reports to help us improve stability. This feature is disabled by default, but that kind of feedback is especially valuable.

To enable it, go to: Settings → Privacy and Security → Privacy → Crash Reporting → Allow Vivaldi to Send Automatic Crash Reports
