Vivaldi 7.7 RC 3 – Vivaldi Desktop Browser snapshot 3851.44/46

Today’s snapshot is the third release candidate for 7.7 for desktop and notebooks. (P.S. The cool kids enable crash reporting! ⚰️)

A person balances large stones into vertical sculptures along a rocky shoreline, with the ocean and a partly cloudy sky in the background.

Enable Automatic Crash Logging

Vivaldi can automatically send crash reports to help us improve stability. This feature is disabled by default, but your feedback as a Snapshot user is especially valuable.

To enable it, go to: Settings → Privacy and Security → Privacy → Crash Reporting → Allow Vivaldi to Send Automatic Crash Reports

Thank you for helping us make Vivaldi better! 💀

Release candidate feedback

To help us get 7.7 out the door as soon as possible, please focus your feedback on serious regressions since 7.6 stable. If you want to ask about new (post 7.7) features or longstanding issues, please do so on our forums.

There are also pre-release links to equivalent builds for the stable channel. These are for those of you who wish to upgrade early, having first tested in snapshot configuration. Since this is an RC and not yet a release, we also recommend you backup your settings before upgrading. Autoupdate to these (or newer) stable builds will not be enabled until further testing is completed and the final is released.

Known Issues

  • When installed before the official 7.7 release date, build 3851.46 will show the wrong “What’s New” page on first launch.

Changelog

  • [About][Windows] Do not show show “Check for update” button during install (VB-121822)
  • [Chromium] Update to 142.0.7444.167
