Auto-hide UI
A game changer for fans of screen real estate. When enabled, your whole UI (Tab Bar, Address Bar, Panel and Status Bar) gets out of the way. Move your cursor to any edge of the screen, and it will reappear. Move away from it, and it will disappear again.
And because this is Vivaldi, you get to decide what’s best for you. Head to Settings > Appearance > UI Auto-hide and choose whether you want to hide the whole UI, or just some elements.
Follower Tab
You know that feeling when you’re browsing, find an interesting link, click it, one thing takes to another and you suddenly have eleven tabs open? Follower Tab to the rescue.
Right-click any link and choose Open Link as Tiled Follower Tab. The page opens in a tiled view right alongside what you’re already reading. Any further links you click in your original tab will keep loading in the Follower Tab. No more losing the original thread: your original page becomes an anchor, and stays exactly where it was.
Vivaldi Mail, now better
The mail composer on Vivaldi Mail can now be opened in its own window, so you can write your emails side by side with your inbox, on a different monitor, or fullscreen. Inside the composer itself, you’ll find a new toggle to switch between rich text and plain text.
We’ve also added the option to save selected messages to your disk, allowing you to save copies of the message files you deem necessary to another location.
