Snapshot 1.5.627.3 – Delta (small) updates for Windows

A public test of our new “delta” based update system for Windows, meaning less data to be downloaded when upgrading to a new build of the Vivaldi browser.

Snapshot 1.5.618.8 – Drag tabs between windows and performance improvements

In today’s snapshot we provide the ability to drag tabs between windows. Unlike other browsers you can also drag tab stacks and tab selections. And of course, the old method via the context menu still works for those who prefer it. We have also improved theming performance by roughly 400%. This also improves browser startup time! If you haven’t used themes before, now is a great time to get started.

Snapshot 1.4.589.4 – Vivaldi 1.4RC 2

The next Vivaldi version is almost ready, loaded with important fixes and a couple of new features.

Headlining features of 1.4 are Theme scheduling, Web Panel improvements and the ability to restore closed tabs by middle-clicking on Trash.

Snapshot 1.4.589.2 – Vivaldi 1.4RC 1

As the week ends, we are getting closer to another stable release 1.4. Our focus towards 1.4 is fixing regressions, so when reporting issues below, please focus on any regressions since the previous stable 1.3. With this snapshot we also added two new features for your themes and closed tabs.

In today’s snapshot we use a new version of our logo to help show the difference between snapshots and stable builds, added new options for web panels and per tab zoom as been set as the new default.

Snapshot 1.3.551.37 – 1.3 stable, minor update RC1

Today’s snapshot is a test version of a small update for our 1.3 stable, to address some serious bugs that you have been reporting. If no (new) regressions are found we will rebuild it for the stable update channel and pass it on to our stable users shortly.

Note: This build is version 1.3.551.37, the stable update will be 1.3.551.38. They are effectively the same build but pull updates from different channels (snapshot and stable respectively).

Snapshot 1.3.551.28 – Vivaldi 1.3RC1

Today’s second snapshot, is the first release candidate for Vivaldi version 1.3.

Even if no major issues are found, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable update stream before it is released.
